When planning summer school in Limassol, confirm the exact dates, age group, daily hours, total cost and registration conditions before organising your family’s summer. Golden Oak’s current handbook describes primary summer school in July and August, and preschool summer school in August. Families should contact the school for the specific Summer 2027 arrangements.

This planning guide uses the published 2026/27 handbook, checked on 12 October 2026. Summer 2027 fees, the detailed timetable, activities and booking dates still need confirmation from the school.

What does Golden Oak currently publish about summer school?

The school calendar section of the Parent Handbook distinguishes the normal school year from summer provision. Kindergarten and Preschool normally run through July, while Primary runs through June. July is part of the regular preschool programme, so families should avoid treating it automatically as an optional summer booking.

The handbook’s summer registration section gives priority to currently registered pupils and their school-age siblings, with pre-payment dates to be communicated closer to the time. Families whose children do not currently attend should ask whether places will be available to them.

Start with the dates your family actually needs

Make a calendar showing the final days of normal school, family travel, work commitments and any other care arrangements. Mark the weeks for which you need provision before choosing a programme. A general reference to July or August is not enough to establish coverage for every weekday you need.

Ask the provider for the first and last session dates, any closure days and whether attendance is booked by week, month or another period. If you only need part of the summer, find out whether that booking pattern is offered before making other commitments.

Keep the programme’s written confirmation with your family calendar. If your plans change, check the terms that apply to changing a booking rather than assuming the place can be moved to another week.

Confirm the actual summer day

Term-time hours should not be used as a substitute for a summer timetable. Ask when children may arrive, when supervised activities begin, when collection takes place and whether any extended hours are available.

The daily content also deserves a separate conversation. Ask for a sample programme for your child’s age, including the balance of indoor and outdoor time, breaks and any planned outings. If an activity is especially important to your child, confirm that it belongs to the intended session rather than an old programme or a different age group.

  • Which age group would my child join?
  • What language will staff use during activities?
  • How are younger children introduced to the group?
  • What arrangements apply to meals, belongings and collection?
  • Who should parents contact during the summer session?

For a child with particular learning, communication or personal-care needs, discuss the actual summer arrangements with the team before booking. Do not assume that every term-time service or staffing arrangement automatically continues in the same form.

Ask for one clear cost breakdown

Request the price for the exact period you want and a list of what it includes. Ask whether meals, materials, excursions, transport or extended supervision are offered and, where applicable, whether they cost extra. A weekly price is only useful when you understand the hours and services it covers.

Before paying, read the booking and payment conditions supplied for that programme. Ask how a place is confirmed, when payment is due and which terms apply if your plans change. Keep the confirmation and any receipts together.

Prepare a short enquiry

Your first enquiry can be simple. Include your child’s age, whether they already attend Golden Oak, the weeks you are interested in and the collection time your family needs. Add any circumstances the school should understand before discussing suitability.

You can use this wording: “We are interested in Summer 2027 provision for our child, aged [age], during [dates]. Please could you confirm availability, the relevant age group, daily hours, fees and how registration will work?”
